DLA Piper advises Rabobank on £38m debt financing for UK solar and wind assets | New


DLA Piper advised long-time client, commercial lender and financial services provider Rabobank UA on its approximately £38m debt financing to NTR from its infrastructure fund sustainability, the NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II.

The funding will support NTR’s construction and commissioning of a 58.8MWp solar farm in Ockendon, Essex, providing BT Group with renewable electricity for 10 years (Ockendon Solar Farm), as well as 21.6 MW ready-to-build wind farm. farm in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland (Murley Wind Farm). Once the Ockendon and Murley sites are fully operational, they will have a combined capacity of over 80 MW. It is estimated that together the projects will produce enough renewable energy to serve more than 37,000 homes from the fourth quarter of 2023.
